I have just gone through a devastating hurricane recently and had concerns about my Arizona Cypress that had turned brown. They removed a large Crepe Myrtle tree and pruned another large Crepe Myrtle and a fig tree with a 30-foot spread. The Crepe Myrtle pruning was excellent. The fig tree was reduced by about one-third and the pruning was very professional.

Second time I’ve used them. This time I had a Leyland cypress tree downed by a storm and two still standing I was thinking of removing. They have an arborist on staff which is very reassuring when discussing plans to remove trees. They respond promptly when called. I’m building a new house, and I had a concern about a tree that was left on the lot by the builder. It looked unhealthy and I was concerned about it falling onto my new home and causing a ton of damage. Prompt, caring, very good service! They did a canopy lift for 2 cherry trees in my front yard. Prior to the lift more than half of my lawn was in shade by 11 am. After the lift the yard has sun for the entire day and grass will now grow.

The crew came in and immediately got to work trimming a large tree in our backyard. They dealt with a heavy rain storm but kept going. At end of it all, backyard was clean and all branches discarded. Great to work with and I would use them again in the future.

Due to sudden cardiac arrest in April I am currently suspended from driving for 6 months and thus have no income but plenty of time on hand. 770-Arborist worked with me to minimize my cost by providing a fair price for just taking down a large maple. He walked our property with us and gave us his opinion on whether he could prune the trees close to the house to keep the squirrels from jumping on our roof. Mark made sure he answered all our questions as he walked the property with us. We have several poorly placed trees that are close to the house, so it makes finding a “good” solution difficult. Fabulous crew. Huge double trunk oak in a tight space. It was almost like they were never there. The grounds around the site were left in perfect condition. The other trees were unaffected. After several consultations we contracted to remove 5 large gum trees very close to the house using a crane system and pruned other trees on the property. After a limb the size of a tree narrowly missed the house but landed on the deck and patio, I made 3 calls to local tree services. Two called back and 1 I never heard from. Mark with 770 Arborist simply made the most sense. He was reassuring and logical. After sending him pics he was confident about insurance coverage (which I had not had to do … ever) with the top end of the ‘limb’ blocking my garages – he came out and cleared this the same day – and immediately made arrangements for the entire limb and its parent tree to be taken down and disposed of by day 2. In one day, the team skillfully trimmed more than 60 trees of various kinds, and removed 3 trees. When looking for a tree service to remove a massive (over 60 feet tall) Leyland Cypress that was dying we wanted to know what was causing it to fail. We selected 770-Arborist because they have an ISA-certified arborists on staff that could provide a tree risk assessment for the tree’s actual condition. We received a detailed assessment of the tree’s condition (a fungus) and an assessment of the health of remaining Leylands. The tree removal crew was very courteous and efficient. Because the tree was located on the back half of our property branches and trunk were removed by hand. The tree service included pruning out infected areas on other Leylands to prolong the inevitable. We highly recommend 770-Arborist for professional advice and efficient tree removal.

I recently had a canopy lift of approximately 6 or so trees in my small backyard. The crew was in and out with no evidence they had even been there. Today I contacted Mark of 770-arborist to seek advice regarding two or three stressed Emily Bruner holly trees we had planted by a Canton landscaper approximately 8 months ago at considerable cost. Two are very stressed with many brown leaves and berries, one is minimally stressed and the fourth appears healthy. We are a retired couple so the trees were a big investment for us. The landscaper said he did not guarantee trees beyond 3 months. Mark could not have been more helpful. This company is so professional and knowledgeable. I had them come in after I had regrettably used another company to take down some branches on a tree that they said had some rotting in it. I was pleasantly [surprised] when Lance toured my yard with me and patiently explained about my trees and what to watch for in the future as well as tips to keep my trees healthy. This is how a company should be run!

770-Arborist was initially contacted to review the health of a 30-year-old oak and a 25-year-old dogwood. That review lead to the question of what we could do to help prevent this tree from toppling during a strong storm. The recommendation was to clean up the tree to allow for good airflow and let sun light reach the lawn below. These folks work without spikes, which can damage a tree, and that is a bit more expensive. The end result was a tree that had a much nicer appearance and airflow. You could tell it looked better when my neighbors complimented me on how much better the tree looked and how it enhanced the curb appeal.

These guys are great. I had 7 trees trimmed for health and to pull up the canopy and allow more light in. They climbed and removed all the dead and dangerous branches. No complaints here! Highly recommend this team should you need any tree work. Thanks guys!

After the tropical storm that passed through, I had a 30-year-old large Bradford pear split and fall into the Bradford tree next to it. They both had reached their age and were starting to get big and dangerous. From the first call to the last handshake it was an excelent experience! I spoke with an arborist from the first call and discussed the age and size of the trees. After some discussion I felt it was best to have them both removed. All of the contact and coordination was easy and quick. The crew arrived on time and ready to go. It took a while to drop and chip both trees, but they were able to access them using my neighbors driveway and did a great job and cleaned up really well. I miss the trees but now have an arborist I can trust to evalulate my yard and help limb up and take down when needed. Highly recommend to give them a call even just to have your yard evalulated by an arborist, not just cut down trees!

We had a tree fall down during Irma that ended up on our garage roof. The response by Mark was amazing and so quick. He was able to fit us in so that we could get cars out of garage and hauled off the tree within 24 hours of me calling him. I called several places before I got 770 Arborist, all went to a voice mail. When 770 Arborist, who answered the phone, heard there was a tree on top of our house, [she] told me to hold while she contacted Mark to find out when he could come assess our situation. This tree company is stellar. They aren’t in it for the $$$, they truly want to protect your trees and will only take a tree down if it needs to come down or you insist. We had them come to take down some dead trees and clean the canopy. The guys that came were courteous, hard-working and considerate. After the leaves came out on our trees we had a large dead limb on our oak in the front yard that needed to be removed. I called Mark, who sent Lance out immediately and a few days later the boys were back again and not only removed the large dead limb but some other smaller limbs in the oak and dogwood. It looks great! There was no hassle, no extra charge just excellent service!

These guys were fantastic. Scheduling was prompt, the pricing was the best and the quality of work outstanding. Its not very often you get a trifecta like that. I had 5 VERY large trees that needed to be trimmed up 35 feet and had multiple smaller trees that needed removal. One large tree had a massive branch that was very close to the house – it was quite the undertaking to remove and the team did it flawlessly. They even powered through a yellow jacket’s nest and bee stings. VERY IMPRESSIVE and they cleaned up the site nicely. I am thrilled with the service and results and will use them again in a heartbeat.

Even though I am located out of Mark’s service area I contacted him via email regarding an issue I am having with one of my trees and needed an arborist’s advice. He replied within minutes on a Sunday afternoon. Very professional and knowledgeable.

My daughter had two GIGANTIC 100-year-old hardwood trees next to her house. Both trees had limbs over the house. We were especially concerned with the health [of] one of the trees which was also close to the neighbor’s house, so we called 770-Arborist. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a detailed explanation of problem trees. The tree of concern was a high-risk tree. They removed the two ENORMOUS trees next to the house with precision and expertise without a scratch to the new roof. At the end of the first day, Lance went over what they would do the next day. He said he would not be there but that Lee would be in charge. Lee kept us informed of what they were doing and checked to make sure they did what we wanted done. Lance and Lee were very polite, courteous and professional. They wanted to make sure that we were happy with everything they did. The entire crew worked from the time they arrived until the time they left each day. And they did a great job cleaning up the property. Mark came by at the end of the second day to make sure we were happy with everything. He was very courteous and professional. The entire experience was very positive and we could not have been more pleased.

Mark and Lance are pros at what they do. Their price was better than our previous quote and their work was done exactly as promised. We did not have a huge job, so we did have to wait for them to have another in our area, which was no problem at all. I will absolutely use them again!

We had Mark come out when our Bradford pear decided to fall on a perfectly clear day and landed on our driveway and the back of my husband’s car. He came out quickly and assessed the damage and removed the fallen tree as well as part of an adjacent tree that was hanging dangerously in mid-air! We then had him come back and take down our last Bradford pear so it wouldn’t fall (apparently they’re very prone to falling on a whim! Bad trees to have!), as well as a leaning tree we had in the backyard that was rotten and a smaller tree, too. The arborist crew removed some large pine trees from my backyard that were brushing against my house and causing problems with my neighbors properties. They safely removed the trees and did a very thorough cleanup of all cuttings. They performed some needed trimming and thinning of river birch and maple trees in my front yard to give my yard a bit more sun and taking branches away from the house that had damaged a gutter. I am very satisfied with the Arborist crew work.

Mark came to my home to consult with me about my dying Japanese cherry tree and also checked tall pines and other trees that I was worried about. He then carefully reviewed with me which trees were damaged, which needed to be removed for safety issues. I made an appointment for a day for his crew to come. They arrived promptly and were very careful not to damage landscape plantings. They removed seven trees and some shrubs, cleaned up the property and removed all debris. I called to get information on how much it would cost to get our crepe myrtle trees trimmed. Lance asked me a few questions and then suggested that my husband and I rent a gas-powered pole saw and do it ourselves at a fraction of the cost it would cost anyone else to come out and do this job. Lance walked the property with us and listened to what we wanted to accomplish both now and eventually. He gave us a price for both, but I didn’t feel pressured to do more than we were ready to do at this time. There were also options for disposal of the trees we had taken down, which made a difference in the cost as well. Since we use firewood every year, we chose to have them leave the trees in pieces for us to move and split. They cleared a large amount of underbrush and lower limbs and took down some dead trees and cleaned everything up when they were done. I would recommend them and will absolutely use them again.

Came home Thursday to a tall tree which abruptly developed a significant lean toward our house … if it falls, there will be damage. Called, left message, got a very prompt callback. Rep came out Friday, gave quote to remove leaning tree and a couple of others. Crew was able to come out Saturday morning, removed trees in question, left site better than they found it. I emailed Lance when a tree was blown partially down in my backyard. It was around dinnertime but he returned my call almost as soon as I tapped send. I was worried the tree would fall down because it would hit my deck and the back of the house. He was very patient and said he would send out a team in the morning. A tree that was in our yard had fallen into our neighbor’s, but it was leaning against another tree. It was very dangerous. I had to call someone immediately. I was also worried about another dead tree that was close to a window, plus I needed some trees pruned. I called and Mark, the owner, answered (WOW!). He told me that he comes out and provides a complete assessment of the trees in the yard for $149, which is applied to any work that he does. At first I was worried about that, but I was relying on the fact that his company was #1 on Angie’s list, which was the whole reason I signed up for AL. Since he had the most positive reviews of any other provider, I felt very comfortable and agreed. Mark came out the next day and looked everything over. I was worried that some trees I pointed out would need to be cut down, leading to more expense, but he said they were fine. He was very thorough and knowledgeable about trees, down to the molecular level. I pleasantly surprised! Most assessments usually lead to you spending more, but this experience was the exact opposite. Mark gave me an estimate of the entire job (two trees, pruning of two others) of $1,500 and his crew came out the same day (read on, he actually lowered the price). They not only did all of the work to perfection (they didn’t hurt any of our property or landscaping), they even pulled up the tree pieces from a ravine and cut them into smaller chunks that were manageable. This took quite a bit longer, but he didn’t charge me any additional for this. He could have taken everything with him, but it was less expensive to leave it, so we are going to use it in our fire pit. I was grateful they left the wood in chunks that we could manage ourselves. Finally, he gave me $200 off of the price because I paid with a check. If I ever need tree work done, I will be calling 770-ARBORIST. Hands down, a company you can trust to do the right thing. It’s worth it to know that the job will be done right and by professionals. Oh, I need to mention that he asked me if we would like to keep the mulch from the trees he cut down, plus the mulch from a previous job at no cost, and I said YES. We spent our weekend spreading it, but it would have cost hundreds if we had had to purchase the mulch ourselves. Now my backyard (normally woods) looks amazing!

I was very happy with 770-Arborist for the removal of our large maple that was splitting at the base. They had to be careful not to damage fencing close by on two sides. They did a great job! Their pricing was competive. We will use them again in the future.

EDIT: I used 770-Arborist again this past month (April 2019) to have a dying mimosa tree removed from my backyard. It was a tough job because it was right up against a fence with limbs extending out over neighboring properties. The team did a great job taking the tree down and removing the logs and limbs. This is the third time I have used this company and I would again.

We needed some removal and trimming work done and called 770-Arborist based on positive reviews and their being located in the neighborhood. Firstly, this was the only company I called where a PERSON answered the phone! Laurie, polite courteous and professional. Very promptly thereafter, Lance shows up and I immediately know that I made the right choice. Having done tree work myself in my younger years, I am well aware of how difficult and dangerous it can be. These guys surgically removed this cancerous beast overhanging my house with absolute precision. A most impressive feat, and after the cleanup, you couldn’t tell that they were ever there. The crew from 770 Arborist was awesome. Had a 18″ diameter tree overhanging my house. Their team took it down with an ease that literally drew a crowd of my neighbors watching in awe. The guy running the chainsaw climbed trees with the ease of me walking down the sidewalk. It was completely second nature. We probably had six or eight people watching the crew the entire time. All of us were impressed by how naturally they worked and how easy it seemed for them. Even the guy throwing the linesman’s weight into the tree to feed the main ropes up did so with a skill that I couldn’t begin to copy. Top it off with the fact that the arborist who came out to evaluate the job clearly cared for trees and actually tried to discourage me from taking the tree down. I have huge respect for that.
770 Arborist removed all of the three sections, all of the small branches, and even brought out leaf blowers to remove the sawdust. 100% recommendation. These guys were very professional and fun to watch.

I was in a panic after a tornado in October 2020 uprooted two very large hardwood trees, one of which landed on my fence, but worse, the other crashed on to my roof. But 770 Arborist was able to come in with their crane and pick the huge hickory tree right up off of the roof with precision and carefully set it on the ground. Cleaned up the whole mess, worked with my insurance company, just handled practically everything. 770 Arborist are THE EXPERTS at emergency tree removal. Would highly recommend to anyone, especially if you experience some of the severe weather we get and need a professional to help get your home back to normal when the trees come down.

Waking up to a tree through your garage is not the way anyway wants to start their Saturday. Especially when it is snowing. I called 770 Arborist and within half an hour they had a crew out here to remove the tree. Mark was great to work with. The tree was off and the roof was tarped the same day. Excellent service; both in tree removal and explaining what to expect with my home owners insurance. Would recommend and will use for any future needs.

One of our sweetgum trees had been damaged by a septic line installment. Lance was able to give us a professional assessment of it and all the trees on our property for a reasonable fee, which was then rolled in to the price of the work when we had our trees trimmed. We were grateful that his assessment was not based on need for sales, but on the flat fee. The crew came, did safe work on our trees, and left nothing for me to clean up!

Had an emergency where I needed am tree roved asap! The level of responsiveness and speed to action to help was something I did not anticipate. This company was phenomenal. I called 7 companies when my tree fell around 7pm and the only answer I got was 770 Arborist. Answered my call the first time, and had a crew out within an hour. Unbelievable service, and incredibly easy to set up and initiate service. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH!

I would highly recommend this company. I could have given 5 stars, but I share the blame on that last star. First the responsiveness and communication was excellent. I had several trees that I needed advice on from an arborist. I set an appointment and Lance came out on time and gave a call ahead to let me know he was on his way. As we went through my front and back yards he gave advice on what he thought would be best for the trees. At some point in our review I asked him how much he thought it would all cost to do the work we were discussing. He stopped me and said that he’d be happy to give me an proposal, but he was here at my request to give an opinion on the trees in my yard and didn’t want me to think he was there just to upsell me. That took me back. His credibility went way up as we continued to only talked about the trees, their health, and proper pruning. The only thing he did say was that they price their estimates based on the expected time it would take to complete the job. We did get an estimate as I asked for one after we were done with the review. The estimate came after he left. There was no hard sell. When we agreed to the work 770 Arborist was very good communicating the scheduling process. They called sooner than I expected because they had an opening due to a concellation. They asked if they could come over – they didn’t just show up and surprise me. Zach showed up with a crew who were very efficient and cleaned up everything very well when they were done. The one thing I should have done better is walk through the yard with Zach to review what was to be done. One tree was cut back more than we were expecting. A large branch was cut that we didn’t want cut back so far. However, I don’t blame them as it wasn’t very clear from the estimate and there was a lot of different things going on. Therefore, I would recommend that if there is pruning to be done, you review it with the crew before they begin so as to manage expectations. They took down 2 dead trees, removed 5 smaller trees growing against my neighbor’s fence, trimmed dead branches off 4 other trees, and raised the canopy on 3 trees. There was a lot of work with different trees. That is why I don’t solely blame them for the one tree being cut too much. Overall, excellent service and communication.

Lance and his crew were great. Recently had tree work completed but had new work needed to be done and previous company left me hanging. I was forced to find a new company and found 770-Arborist. The quote given was more than reasonable but the work they did was awesome. What I thought would take hours was completed in about an hour. Took down six trees carried them to the chipper and cleaned up so that there was no evidence of trees at all. They were prompt, courteous and fast. Best of all they were flexible and helpful with my questions. My go to company for all tree trimming and removal going forward.

Description of work: We needed an assessment of the health of some 20 year old ornamental trees before deciding to prune them. We wished to improve the overall look of our home from the street by shaping the trees while improving their vitality.

I was very pleased with 770 Arborist’s service. The crew arrived at 8 am and went to work almost immediately. After talking to Lee, the crew got started cutting down my tree. It was done quickly and efficiently. The crew cleaned up after the job was done and left everything in clean condition. Everyone was very responsive to my directions and requests. I was very impressed with their service and I would recommend them to anyone needing the service they provide.

I had my entire yard of trees assessed for health, 6 large, mature hardwoods removed from my front yard as well as trimming of several trees to allow for house clearance. Through the entire process I found Lance and his crew to be very responsive, highly professional and timely. When I reached out online for an estimate, I heard back within a couple hours and was scheduled for a free quote within the week (due to my crazy schedule or it would have been sooner). I got my written quote, along with their license and insurance information and online reviews to view the very next day. It was so effortless. Their prices were competitive with other arborists, while slightly higher than general tree service companies that didn’t staff arborists, as can be expected.

On the day of the job, they showed up right on schedule and completed all the work in 6 hours. Watching them work was pretty amazing too – talk about knowing their stuff like the back of their hand! Marc was a pleasure to speak to and extremely knowledgeable. Even though ultimately we may not use his service I have no doubt his prices are fair. We began to get quotes for removing 5 large Pines in our backyard once I heard that my neighbor was having all of theirs removed. I thought we could utilize the guys that were coming to do our neighbors work but wanted to make sure my price was fair and that they were going to go about it the right way. After sending pictures of our yard to Marc, he explained how the work is preformed and what rate I should look for from the other company. I needed specialized opinion as to whether the oak tree in my front yard would jeopardize my house foundation. I was looking for a way not to have to remove the tree. I had a great experience with 770 Arborist. They removed trees from my backyard and trimmed some trees in my front yard. However, the trees in the front yard were not trimmed as much as I would have liked. I worked with Mark and Lance and had no problem with them coming back out to take more off of my trees and make sure that I was happy. At the end of the experience, I was very happy with their work professionalism and their value and definitely recommend them to take care of you.

Lance the arborist came out to the house … I was concerned about the health of 3 large trees … he said they where all in good shape after examining the trunks … leaves and base of the tree. He could easily have advised us to have them cut down … he didn’t … as an arborist he cares about the trees as much as making a profit … upon review of the west side of the house the shade from the trees was causing the bermuda grass to die … we decided to have this area pruned back and some smaller trees taken down … when i got home on Wednesday and saw the work done … well it was outstanding!!! Plus, the yard looked like no one had been here … everything was picked up … they gave us quality work with an honest price. Will use them again if I need trees removed.

Working with 770-Arborist was a great experience. I was under a time constraint and Mark came out the same day I called to quote the job and he was able to work it into his schedule. They were willing to take on this job that other companies weren’t willing to, due to the height of one the trees and how close it was to the power lines. Mark took the extra step to ensure the safety of his team by working with Suwanee Electric to have them come out and take the limbs near the power lines. They did a great job taking down all the trees and left the job site very cleaned up and also did a great job reinstalling my fence. I would recommend them to anyone.

There are a number of tree service providers out there. What made this such a good experience, I called late in the day and they told me what time they would come out and they were there at that time. They assessed the job and gave me the quote. They called back to advise on a time the work could be completed and I accepted the quote. They came out at the time they stated and performed the work flawlessly. The area was clean with barely a trace of their presence in the area. They were professional and courteous. They made a bad situation with a dead tree a good experience with good prompt service. You can be assured their number will stay on file for any future needs they may arise.

The job went very well. Mark’s crew was fantastic. They were very professional and very skilled. We had very tall trees and the expertise of the climber was amazing. This was a dangerous job and required a highly skilled crew. Any of the trees and/or limbs could have severely injured or even killed his crew members. While the price felt a little expensive when we first saw the quote, after watching the skill of his crew, we completely understand the costs. We were mesmerized watching the guys navigate the ropes, climb the trees, and dispose of huge limbs. The crew finished a 2-day job in 1 day and did a great job cleaning up. Just moved to Georgia from a state that has more dirt than trees. My 2-acre yard has loads of beautiful trees that were even to my untrained eye in a sad state. The huge pines in the front were a great worry to me because of the Ice storm I experienced my first weeks in the house. I called other tree companies to get quotes and although comparable to 770-ARBORIST they just didn’t give me confidence that they would complete the job or even do the work that was necessary for the health of the trees. The reviews I saw backed up my suspicions. I found and read reviews for 770-ARBORIST … I called and spoke to Mark who explained that they would send out the arborist for a fee, which was very reasonable, to ascertain what work needed to be done, then if I had the work done the fee is deducted from your balance. Lance, the arborist, promptly met me the next day and walked my entire property patiently explaining what needed attention, listening to my concerns and letting me know what was important for the trees and what was merely cosmetic so I could weigh the cost. I felt very comfortable with his recommendations. I agreed and within two days Lance and his crew promptly showed up and began working, checking with me to make sure I was happy with the way work was progressing. Lance, Mike and Ricardo worked steadily throughout the day and even a little later than expected to make sure all was done. Mark and his team promptly removed a dangerous large tree that had split during a recent storm. The tree was lodged between our deck and another tree parallel with the ground about 8 feet high. They safely removed the tree without any further damage to our deck. 770Arborist responded quickly and professionally. We recommend them and would use their services again if in need.

I’ve had some problems with tree removal services before but not with 770-Arborist LLC. They were professional, fair priced, and did the work when promised. They did a great job removing a large oak tree right next to my home and chipping tree trimmings in our back yard. They brought out a crew of four experienced workers and had the equipment to do job right. There was no damage and the clean-up was very good. I highly recommend them.

I called Mark over at 770ARBORIST at 5:30pm on a Friday with an emergency situation requiring a tree removal. The tree has broken my house water service line and my water had been shut off. Mark contacted one of his crew that was working late that Friday and asked them to add a job to the day. They showed up around 7:30pm that evening and took down a 40ft red maple, cleaned up and were gone in less than 40 minutes. A complete life saver. Exceeded all expectations! We have a heavily wooded lot on a hill, making tree removal all the more difficult. Lance Oliver inspected the trees and gave advice on those I was uncertain about, providing a very fair price on tree removal, stump grinding, and trimming of other trees. The crew did an amazing job, not only in navigating the terrain, but managing to not damage any bushes in close proximity. I had a front yard tree which died in 2 years after my builder installed a new one. I wanted to replace the tree and found it difficult to remove the dead tree with my not-so-skilled technique. I broke all the branches and finally left with a 2-foot stump. Called them for a quote to remove and the gentleman asked me to send some pictures while talking. He quickly understood that he is not getting into a big tree issue and started helping me like a neighbor. This is what I call local neighborhood store. He saw my photos and immediately said don’t waste the money with tree removal service and gave me a way cheaper option to remove the stump. I requested a service through Angie’s list and everyone who came to quote either gave me a $500 quote or didn’t like to do the work. But 770 Arborist was working with me patiently to help me solve the problem and not trying to make money. I followed his advice and now able to remove the old tree for just $25. This is a great gesture and help that I will never forget. I will recommend this business and wish them best to grow in this neighborhood. Thanks.

I have used this company on two occasions. One was a small job, but a it’s was not a job anyone would want. They did an incredible job. The second was a large job. Eight trees, 6 of them 110 foot pines. They were between two houses with very little room to maneuver. The precision that these trees were dropped with was incredible. All of the trees were felled and cleaned up by a 4-man crew in one day. Hard to find anyone that works that hard this day [and] time. I cannot recommend this company enough. Everything was spotless when they left, you could not tell they had been here. They blew off the driveway and street. They raked the path in the woods we use. I have no reservations about recommending this company.

When I tell you that this company puts my faith back into humanity, it’s an understatement. We had a giant tree-sized branch fall onto my car about a week and a half ago. It was a Friday evening, about 6 pm. I panicked and did a search for emergency tree removal and 770 Arborist popped up with a solid 5-stars. They did not disappoint. Within the hour, Mark was on his way from a job he was just finishing up across town. He sent us the contract to fill out while we waited for him to arrive. When he got here, he was very professional, conscious about social distancing, and was not pushy at all. He had the tree (limb) off my car and chopped up in an hour and a half. Later, our car insurance company didn’t want to pay for the removal. Instead of coming after us, 770 Arborist contacted our insurance company personally. Suddenly, the insurance company was more than happy to pay for the removal. 🙂 Five stars does not do this company justice.

We contacted the company to perform extensive work on our property on a Friday. The next Friday the job was completed. The contact who inspected the trees in our yard was knowledgeable and succinct. The workers were prompt and skilled. They cleaned up thoroughly. Everything looks great.

If I could give these guys 10 STARS I would. About 5:30 pm on a Thursday, a giant tree fell through our roof during a terrible storm. Our insurance company told us good luck finding a tree service that could get to us right away. Luckily, I ran across 770 Arborist Emergency Tree & Crane Service online. The next morning, Mark, the owner, answered my call and within a few hours, he had an entire crew at my house with a huge crane, bobcat, chipper, trucks, chainsaws, tarps and everything needed for the job. His crew worked well into the night and throughout a horrible lightning storm. Most companies would have wrapped it up at dark! But not these guys! We watched in amazement as two guys were lifted by the crane, 30+ feet in the air, swinging from ropes like spiderman in pouring down rain and lightning, making sure that our house was tarped and dried in before they left! They had all of the debris cleaned up from what turned out to be 3 giant trees within a couple of days. Mark spent countless hours on the phone with us and our insurance adjuster to make sure that we were taken care of. There is no way in this world I would ever call a different tree service! I am in Jacksonville, FL and 770 Arborist showed up after hurricane Matthew hit our area. I had two HUGE oaks down; one landed on our house. Remember that bit in the Christmas classic Miracle on 34th Street when Macy’s sends their customers to Gimbals when they have a better price on a coveted toy? That’s kind of like what happened when I spoke to the awesomely knowledgeable fellow at 770-Arborist, only he gave me free advice that could save me thousands of dollars. A 50-foot-ish branch from one of our trees fell during a storm and landed on another tree along our property line. The tree is likely dead and so the entire thing probably needs to come down. Since two of the other branches are hovering over the power line, he advised me to have Georgia Power come and trim those branches and explained exactly what would be necessary to take care of the other branch. Despite the fact that they don’t have the equipment necessary to deal with our specific problem, he took the time to clearly explain everything to me and gave me excellent advice. The next time we have a tree issue I will definitely be calling 770-Arborist first!

We had an enormous tree completely flatten the top floor of our separate garage and hit our main house. Cobb EMC came out immediately to turn off the power and Mark and his crew were there first thing in the morning to get the tree out of the garage and off the roof of our house. They were fast, they were efficient, and they did a great job of cleaning up and tarping the roof. They have an amazing crane that gently pulls the tree off the roof without causing further damage and a chipper that made fast work of some enormous branches. He works directly with the insurance so I dont have to and took pictures for me so the adjuster could see the holes in the roof before he tarped it. Mark is actually an arborist, so he also checked all the other huge oaks around my house and identified a couple that will need attention. Great crew, great job and I would recommend him to everyone who has a tree emergency!

Before last August I had not owned a home, so I had never had a need for an arborist. Since I now live on a wooded 1+ acre lot with my house surrounded by trees, a couple of which are not looking so hot, I found myself in need of just such an expert. Since I live on the fringes of Canton, it’s not exactly a hotbed of arborists, so when I looked at Yelp to see who/what was nearby, my options were limited. I saw 770 Arborist (also the phone number when spelled out on a phone screen) and decided to try them. I called and set up the appointment. The person who took my call was polite and professional, so I hoped the person coming out to inspect would mirror that. It’s been many years since I was a boy scout earning my botany and forestry merit badges, so I was ready to learn. Mark, the arborist, was phenomenal. When I hire an expert, it’s for (no surprise) their expertise. What I got with Mark was not only great expertise, but a real passion for understanding and caring for those gentle giants that surround my home. He showed me how to safely and healthily trim limbs to help my trees grow. He explained how adding only a small amount of soil overburden can harm a tree. He taught me how to harvest loam from other parts of my property to feed trees that aren’t getting sufficient nutrition. He showed me which trees are valuable in the sense of property value and enjoyment. He showed me far more than I will take your time recounting here; suffice to say that I’m smarter about what’s around me and have a new appreciation for trees. What did he NOT do? He did not try to upsell me. He explained which trees were unhealthy and why, how much or how little of a threat they present to my property, and which ones (only 3) that needed to be removed because of damage and sickness. And he was upfront about those trees probably being several years from being at the point at which they need to be removed. Again, no upsell of services or scare tactics about trees that are unhealthy. Just solid science and great advice. The hour and a half he spent with me cost $149, and it was a great value.; he should probably raise his rate. And, equally importantly, if I decide to use them for tree trimming or removal services, that $149 will be credited against the removal costs. Totally awesome and I highly recommend Mark and 770 Arborist.

The crew arrived promptly and worked on our neighbor’s yard first, finishing and cleaning up quickly and efficiently. They then started our yard and worked until dark. They returned the next day and completed the job. There was some damage to our fence which they have since returned and repaired to our complete satisfaction. I have had them out here twice. The first time was an emergency and the second time was planned. A tree had fallen and had gone through my roofing and into my kitchen ceiling. It was Saturday night and it was raining. I had went through the phone book and online. Every one I tried to call that listed emergency service, either was not answering the phone or they were not able to do anything. Most of them didn’t even answer the phone. I called a guy called the arborist and he, I think he was, out to dinner with his wife. He said, okay let me see if I can get my crew together. He called me back in about 10 minutes and said he can come and do it and said it would take them an hour to get us all together and take the equipment but we’ll be there, and he was. Those guys went right on the roof and removed the limb and laid the tarp on it and went in the backyard and picked up all the debris and carried it off. I was thrilled! They were excellent. Yes, I would use them again.

I was tired and disoriented when I first called early in the morning. I was surprised when the man speaking told me he was the owner of the company. He must have been awake expecting trouble calls after a night of high winds and rain around Atlanta. He credentialed himself as someone who was extremely familiar with the insurance side of the operation, as well as being an experienced arborist. He assessed the situation by using Google Maps and he then calmly walked me through what to expect. He told me how to best contact my insurance company through their online portal. He also texted me the link for the documents he required. I found the process to be very professional and his knowledge to be helpful, and reassuring.
They arrived in the general time slot he had quoted only a few hours prior. His fleet of 3 vehicles were clean and well maintained. He had an amazing crane truck, a truck with a bob cat in tow and another with a chipper attached. The crane truck was parked under a very large oak tree. The limbs hung down around the crane and it looked like the tree would confine or trap the crane. The crane navigated that canopy and still managed to extend another 75 feet. It reached over two sets of power lines and grabbed the 12,000 pound Cypress off my roof. He picked it up and twisted around the powerlines without even touching them. It was a real trick. Seriously amazing to watch. They had the entire tree removed and chipped in under an hour. No damage to my property or my neighbors! Anyway I can not say enough good things about this experience.

We contacted 770 Arborist based on a recommendation that they were very good at removing big trees in difficult locations. We had a huge live oak that was leaning against a dead oak. Both trees were in a tight location close to the house. I watched a team of five work for 3 1/2 hours to take down both trees. It was important to have the tree removed as soon as possible to avoid further damage to our home and the power lines. They showed up on time exactly when they said they would. We concentrated on trees next to our house – he told us about the health of our trees and recommended work to keep the trees healthy and get the branches away from the house. He did not try to sell us what we did not need and did not try to scare us, but was honest about what we should do and what we could wait to do. The crew came out a week later and cut all the branches as we discussed. Zak showed us what they did and asked if there was anything else we wanted done. Since Mark is a certified Arborist, he provides professional and experienced insight about planned tree removal. In my case, a large oak that had developed some disease. He reviewed with me the risk factors and how likely the tree was to fail. Mark’s approach is completely different from a typical tree removal service which of course is “cut now”.

After looking at my tree I was given a big picture analysis of what is going on and then given detailed information on what needs to be done to the tree and on what schedule. I was also given information on when and how the tree got sick and things that were pertinent to our situation that could make the tree sick again. I consulted with several companies prior to hiring 770-Arborist for the job. We had a large pine tree that was struck by lightning that we needed removed along with several other medium sized pines. They were able to perform the service 7 days after our initial call which was perfect as we were trying to have the job completed before the hurricane hit. The team was professional and completed the job within half a day. They also identified a few trees that were dying that were missed by some of the other companies. It has been almost 2 years since we last requested their services but from what I remember, the experience was positive and I would recommend them to a friend.
